We provide parent education, screenings, group meetings, and playgroups to families that live in the Blue Valley School District and have children prenatal to age three.  Our website is www.bluevalleyk12.org/parentsasteachers    Families can enroll online and read about all our events.

Christmas Open House

Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm, 1200 Kansas City Road  Olathe

Visit Santa in our Heritage Center and see our decorated Christmas Trees. Weather and ground conditions permitting, stagecoach rides will be offered along with other activities celebrating the Christmas season. FREE admission, $2/person for stagecoach rides ages 3 and up. Activities may include music, Christmas carols, making ornaments and other craft activities.

Cantus captures the scene when World War I soldiers set down their arms to celebrate Christmas with the enemy in a captivating performance of All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 ... anything but a “silent night.”

Ages: 8-19. Time: 8pm. Cost: $25-$35.  Pay tribute to the phenomenal Gregory Hines and the numerous legends of tap dance. Get a fresh and dynamic glance at the past as well as a contemporary look at the many generations of gifted tap artists whose “soles” have guided and touched present-day moves.

Eight world-class tappers and three musicians take you on an astounding tour through the lives of the superstars of jazz dance.
