The Culinary Center Of Kansas City, 7920 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park
“Hands-On” Class (for ages 9 to 14). $65. Scheduled class time: 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Kids In The Kitchen. School’s out … the kids are bored … and chances are, The Food Network is playing nonstop in your family room (at least it is at MY house!). Turn off that television and get your kid to The Culinary Center for a lively, fun-filled day of culinary instruction where they’ll also become a food TV “celebrity” for the day!
It’s “lights, camera, cooking!” as we work in teams to prepare a fabulous (and very kid-friendly) Italian-inspired lunch. We’ll be learning some important culinary techniques and tips alongside a “seasoned” professional culinary instructor.
Then, we’ll work with our teammates to write, rehearse, produce and star in a short “food television-inspired” commercial or cooking demonstration (just like they do on television!).
After lunch we’ll have a “premiere” showing of our efforts. We’ll follow up with your very own DVD copy to enjoy at home. (Ages 9-14) (Includes cooking class, lunch, and DVD mailed to you after the class.)
Saturday, January 16
